Fight Against Mesothelioma

A rare cancer that affects people exposed to asbestos is called Mesothelioma. It attacks the membranes that surround the vital organs of the body. A form of Mesothelioma that affects thelining of the lungs is called pleural mesothelioma and the one that affects the lining of the abdomen is called Peritoneal Mesothelioma. There is no known cure yet for Mesothelioma but the good news is that Mesothelioma and other deceases resulting to prolonged exposure to asbestos like lung cancer and asbestosis can be prevented. Some of the common methods to diagnose Mesothelioma include X-rays, biopsy procedures, imaging technology and physical examination.
